They can literally just go there and see it isn’t true but never leave their shitty small towns.

I visited Minnesota a year ago or so and had multiple residents tell me they still wouldn’t even drive through Minneapolis after 2020, insinuating that the city had been taken over by racialized gangs. Sometimes they seemed to imply that large swaths of the city had burned down, instead of a police station and a handful of Arbys and Wells Fargos.
Same thing with the la protests, people were talking like the whole county was on fire when it was like two blocks downtown
