EDIT: That or this didn’t happen and the US is just using “friendly fire” incidents as a coverup for having their jets shot down in Iran. The IRGC is claiming they shot these down.
Iran downing them certainly makes more sense than the idea that the US military somehow just…wasn’t in communication with the vassals they were flying over, although either is possible.
