I didn’t much care for the condescending tone of “Very good, you got other sources… Now lemme archive 'em” either, which further contributes to the passive aggressive feel of the comment.
Posing a point directly doesn’t have to be mean or rude either. You could just as well have said:
“@Palacegalleryratio, please can you alter your link to an archive one? So we don’t drive traffic to reactionary sites. I’ve got a link for you to use here!”
It’s direct, polite and helpful - and it’s basically what you did but it wouldn’t have rubbed me up the wrong way, on what was an entirely reasonable request I was only too happy to action.

I recall a video Bad Empanada did that talked primarily about Gaza but brought up the Bosnian genocide; he mentioned that Clinton knew there was a genocide for years, but the French government at the time wanted it to continue because they viewed a muslim country in Europe as an abomination. It stands to reason the UN dismissed it because the victims were muslim and they didn’t care, or simply didn’t see the perpetrators as criminals, or even that since the perpetrators were other Westerners that it looked bad and so decided to be quiet about it.
