I had to suffer to get to the allegations of the headline in this article but I think I’ve pieced together their word salad.

The article quotes Stacy Gilbert, a 20 year employee of the State Department who quit in May 2024. She does not say in the quote that the Whitehouse lied about ceasefire efforts, she said that they lied about whether or not US Weapons were linked to specific human rights violations and whether not aid was being disbursed.

The NSM-20 report, as it was called, stated not only that there was “insufficient evidence” linking U.S. arms to specific human rights violations but, even more alarmingly, that the State Department did not “currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance” in Gaza.

Anyone paying attention at the time knew that this was a blatant lie. Gilbert told Hamakor that the report was “shocking in its mendacity,” adding: “Everyone knows that is not true.

That’s the closest thing cited as any sort of Biden Staffer calling out a white house lie. There was one other staffer quoted, Ilan Goldenberg, who criticized Netanyahu for dragging the war out and made it very clear that everyone else was aware of it, but that again does not include claims that the white house lied about pursuing a ceasefire.

Ilan Goldenberg held several advisory roles in the Biden administration, … He made it clear to Hamakor that the administration understood perfectly well that Netanyahu was dodging any effort at stopping the genocide in Gaza (though he would call it “the war”).

Goldenberg lamented the fact that any discussion about an endgame in Gaza was obfuscated by Netanyahu and ended without any results. “If they’re never going to do this, it doesn’t matter what the outcome is, Hamas is still going to control Gaza,” Goldenberg told Hamakor. “You’re just killing and destroying for the sake of killing and destroying. But you’re not building an alternative.”

The article also takes the time, far above that, to quote the Israeli military veteran and Israel appointed ambassador. That might be relevant information, but it’s certainly odd to place it front and center as if to attempt to mislead readers into thinking he spoke for the US or Biden.

It’s almost like the author doesn’t actually know the difference between Netanyahu and the White House? Like they think it’s the same people?

Your comment is disingenuous because we were all conscious and awake during the Biden administration when they repeatedly claimed that they were working for a ceasefire. Kamala Harris, in particular, made the claims several times during her failed presidential campaign. The article links to a video where Harris states: “the president and I are working around the clock every day to get that ceasefire deal done.” here. And that was a lie, as demonstrated in the article by the quote from Herzog and called out by staffer Stacy Gilbert.

Also, you falsely reported this link, saying that the “Headline makes claim not corroborated by article” in order to get it taken down, presumably to censor it so that people won’t read the article. Just thought people should know that.

the commenter you’re replying to is a hardcore pro-DNC troll. they’re constantly claiming that we must all vote blue, no matter what, and that will fix everything happening right now. just a simple minded DNC loyalist wishful thinking their way to a better tomorrow.

It’s interesting that you say the quote from Herzog, who is not a US official but actually an Israeli official who supported Trump, is evidence. It’s interesting that you say the quote from Stacy is evidence despite her quote not containing any such claims.

You want to hear about lies? On his way out, in January, Herzog claimed that Trump wasn’t going to allow Israel to Annex more land. That’s a fucking lie.
