PSL is in there!

When it bottoms out the price spike is going to be INSANE. Ten dollar gas? Why not twenty?

Imo Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Jordan are the basis for a future Levantine Arab Republic under whatever name they come up with.

While it’s a tough competition, is Jordan the fakest of all Arab countries? I think it might be. It’ll just be part of Palestine soon.

(In a settler-colonial context like the USA, race tends to take the place of class, although there are exceptions.
I think we’re running up to the limits for both base and superstructure reasons. At the base, white supremacy gets commitment from white workers because it delivers them the goods. Whether that’s the period of active settlement bestowing huge tracts of free land with little state oversight, the industrial era woth explicitly superior conditions and wages for white workers at all levels, the post-war period’s white suburban paradise, or the neoliberal era’s endless cheap commodities, white workers have always totten something material out of white supremacy. Each time they deal they get it’s a little worse, comparatively, than the earlier eras: lots of free land -> high wages -> cheap suburban land and home ownership -> life-improving consumer goods -> endless cheap plastic garbage. Now, what does white supremacy offer? Wages are stagnant. Good are getting less useful and more expensive. Housing is inaccessible. You can’t even go to the doctor anymore. Whiteness is, to a larger and larger segment of the population, purely a cultural signifier with less and less to show materially. (Obviously white people are still economically way better off than racialized people, but well off enough to uphold this system?)
And that takes us to the superstructure. While a big chunk of the US remains irredeemably racist psychopaths, it’s a lot less than it used to be. Anti-racism in the broadest sense is as close to culturally hegemonic as it’s ever been. It’s tough to measure this, but if we take Trump’s approval polling as roughly analogous to openly racist worldview, we’re down to a bit less than half of white people who buy in to white supremacy as the solution to their problems. And population dynamics continue to slowly move whiteness from majority towards plurality.
White supremacy is running out of juice, imo

Damn, I’d be pretty freaked out if there were any other major oil disruptions. Luckily we should be able to absorb just 3%.

At the bottom of the gulf

This strategy playing out successfully could be what forces the US to attempt its dumbass, suicidal ground invasion.

let’s goooooo

Yes, that’s what I meant, sorry if my wording was unclear. It seems like CJP might be a bit of a high-profile sideshow rather than the base or vanguard of the movement.

Is the CJP really that important at all in the protest movement, or is it just an internet trend the bourgeois media is centering? The inclusion of CPI-ML cadre near the visible center of the movement definitely makes me willing to take it more seriously.

before this thread gets started, let me say:
death to amerikkka and its external zionist tumor
liberation to all peoples for all time

Also, he’s very into “apolitical” posturing. Every party is bad, including liberals and the left. Meanwhile, he isn’t doing any movement-building.
If he’s not a US asset, he still thinks like an American politically. A party is just a vague set of ideas that sorta go together

Lots of ambitious language from Dipke, the CJP founder and leader. Very sus that he’s a student in the US who just flew back in for this “viral” movement, but setting that aside for the moment, how big are these? I see massive protests in India all the time. Are these going to go further? Do they actually pose a systemic threat?

“this war isn’t destroying the empire nearly fast enough!”

Honestly disgusting that they would disrespect Lindsey Graham like this

It’s even happening right now with Russia - Ukraine

We never will again because there’s no industrial base to mobilize the population into
Harder to imagine a more lowly, repulsive group than that
