🤣🤣
On the one hand, ew, Modi.
On the other hand, very funny that the MAGA fascists are so crass it’s alienating the Hindutva fascists.
it’s alienating the Hindutva fascists.
Maybe the leadership…for now. But online the way the post tells a different story.
I mean, it could be temporary… not like a whole divide between Mod and Trump, is there?
I thought one of the features of fascism is that even if it spreads, it’s hard to actually make and keep long term alliances or even just friendly relations between fascists since chauvinism is a defining quality. Modi being a fascist probably doesn’t stop him from understanding that european imperialism (I’ll call it that despite the fact that the USA is currently its ringleader) will always attempt to exploit India and the rest of the global south for all that it has.
Well, I wish Switchy that the Global South divide be enough… I mean, if I recall, it took like a decade and half for a Sino-Soviet split to solidify - maybe the same goes much more quicklier with fascists, especially as one might note WW2, between Imperial Japan and Nazi Germany.
Trump the Nation Builder
China and India easing tensions is always a good development, but I’m concerned about US dangling the carrot at Pakistan. Their Army chief is will be making his 3rd visit to the USA, first being a guest of honor for Trump’s military parade, this was also followed by Pakistan nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. This 3rd visit will be for the changing of CENTCOM command. The army in Pakistan runs the country, they have no problem in staging coups, they’ve let America use their bases to bomb their own people. Pakistan generals have always been in the pocket of the Americans, they have family members living and studying in the States, and see their retirement in the States.
Pakistan is very close to China, especially in the military field, but China has to now be very careful about giving Pakistan their top military equipment like the upcoming J-35 stealth fighters. Apparently China has stated that the conditions for Pakistan acquiring the J-35 is that it will heavily monitored by Chinese personnel in Pakistan to ensure sensitive technology and data does not get leaked (to the Americans). Previously China did not put such strict conditions on Pakistan operating Chinese military hardware. Americans always had strict conditions for Pakistan operating their F-16 including American personel stationed there.
I really can’t see what the US could offer Pakistan at this point that would make them break ties with China.
