I’ll be honest, I’m surprised he even lived to see Black Sabbath’s farewell concert. He looked like Weekend at Bernie’s for a year before now. I get the feeling he was trying his best to hold on for it.
Either way, RIP. My personal “big four” for metal are Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy, Biff Byford, and Rob Halford, and now Ozzy and Lemmy are dead and Biff and Rob are reportedly not in the best of health.

I mean, that’s a distinction that very few bands have. Not to mention that they were very anti-war in their messaging (even if that old fuck Ozzy became a Zionist) and they were very prolific with a ridiculously solid catalogue, like The Smiths level of consistent quality.
