Iraq couldn’t even sell its own oil without putting the revenue into the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, which they had to ask permission from the US to withdraw from. All other things aside, it’s so fucking funny seeing the US shoot itself in the face so hard by blowing up these rackets that were massively benefiting the empire through monstrous levels of exploitation. Exploitation that they probably could have maintained for at least another decade had they simply not attacked Iran.
