I’ve seen what it says elsewhere. It needs to be said.

This is what some 200 million Americans voted for (or by inaction refused to vote against) because having a brown woman be president was worse than this. Each and every one of them should know what they voted for.

Nah. That’s a big exaggeration. There were not even a total of 200 million votes, let alone that many for one of the candidates.

Trump got about 77.3 million votes. Harris got 75 million….

People are tired of tired ass corporate donor candidates. This is absolutely the fault of the democrat and republican parties. Quit blaming the voters. Look up…. You’re so worried about the other voters instead of looking at who is in power… the problem is the wealthy and political establishment, they lost this election.

If you didn’t vote for the half-black South Asian woman, you’re raciss! /s

Even though she’s a piece of shit that did what DAs do and regularly put people she knew were innocent in prison.

I counted the people who could vote, but didn’t. I thought that was clear. If not… I counted the people who could vote, but didn’t. (It was also a very rough estimate that might be a ways off.) They were convinced not voting meant one, they couldn’t be blamed if we didn’t like the person who got elected. False: they had the power to swing it the other way and chose not to. And two, that one was at least “mostly” as bad as the other. In this case, not so. I don’t even think other Republican candidates would have been this bad, had they won (like McCain and Romney).

            Nah man,

I will not continue voting for the lesser of two evils. Done with that noise.

Stop blaming voters and blame the shitty establishment politicians.

There’s plenty of blame to go around, but if you won’t vote against tyranny, and you had the opportunity to, you do own some of it. “A brown woman” is not merely “the lesser of two evils” compared with a guy who tried to overthrow the government because he lost before.

Quite frankly, voting on skin color and gender is pretty dumb. Same with religion etc.

Policy is what’s important. And if your policy is getting nothing done (she called 15$ minimum wage her signature issue before she was vice president and didn’t once fight for it), genocide, hugging billionaires, and welcoming war criminals with smiles and open arms (Dick Cheney), then you’re a shit politician who doesn’t get my vote.

You go ahead and keep voting based on race and gender though I guess?

then you will continue to endure the harm of the worse candidate. you’re never going to get the candidate that checks every box, that’s not how politics works.

but thanks, your inability to comprehend harm reduction may mean no more need for votes for a long time.

                Ok lemmy.world

If we lose democracy because I didn’t vote for the spineless genocide lite candidate you wanted me to vote for?

How has your logical approach changed a single damn thing in the past 40-50 years? (Clue: it hasn’t)

You’ll keep blaming voters instead of your shitty candidates I guess though. They already know they have your vote because you’ve acquiesced in lieu of getting a single policy issue you support, while simultaneously berating and attacking voters who won’t step in line. You’re accusing people of not voting for the “perfect” candidate, while actively fighting for those who have dingleberries dangling off their hairy ass cheeks above your head while they struggle to take constipated bowel movements, and thanking them for it, happily waiting for the mythological trickle down to occur… someday.

                No thanks.

Maybe encourage your shit candidates to be less shitty? I dunno, maybe have a bare minimum of expectations? You realize how silly you sound I can hope, but it doesn’t look like it.

Oh absolutely. Just reading it again is not something I would like to do multiple times in a day. And subjecting child sexual assault survivors to it everywhere can be a triggering event.

Spoiler tag and a trigger/content warning takes care of that. Silence only helps the oppressors. Or in this case, abusers — though, both are really correct.
