The thing Western media always ignores about the idea of the US attacking Iran with the most ultramodern weapons is that neither the US military nor Israel gives a shit about Joe Shmo moving boxes around in a warehouse on a US military base you or I have never even heard of somewhere in the Middle East.

Who will suffer are not the F35 pilots or “badass” special forces soldiers at the speartip of the US war machine, it will be random workers and soldiers in the US military machine who are obliterated by rocket strikes because again neither the US nor Israel gave a shit that their escalation would result in a bunch of unsexy warehouses getting attacked as a consequence in retaliation. They only care about how media will receive the speartip of the attack, that Israel’s bases are protected that the attack makes the US military/Israel look dominant.

Do I think it is a good idea for the US and Israel not to worry about this if they desire to retain power? No, but fascists are stupid and by definition are incapable of examining the validity of their own beliefs. This would be the wrong move morally and the wrong move strategically.

Ultimately the cynical part of me believes the US must strike Iran again in order to make Iran fire off a bunch of missiles at Israel and elsewhere and then the US can blow through their stock of air defenses and wave of a magic wand Trump has a convenient excuse to not provide Ukraine any during the most critical period they need them and has helped his daddy Putin out.
