“The founding fathers would be ashamed!”

George Washington was a wealthy slave owner who hired a bounty hunter to hunt down a teenage slave girl who ran away from his house (while he was president).

Thomas Jefferson was quite literally a pedophile, while also being a wealthy slave owner.

James Madison had a secret half-black son who he SOLD AWAY when his wife got annoyed with him.

Woodrow Wilson held a special screening of “Birth of a Nation” (the pro-KKK movie) IN THE WHITE HOUSE. He is also in the credits of that movie as a consultant.

Harry S. Truman committed a genocide against Korea.

LBJ and Nixon committed acts of genocide in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Reagan: AIDS crisis, Iran-Contra, “War on Drugs,” destroying Unions, etc. (list of crimes is too long to recount).

George W. Bush: Directly caused millions of deaths in the middle east.

In reality, Donald Trump has just taken all the special qualities of previous presidents and combined them into one “Voltron” of American leadership. The power of racism, the power of pedophilia, the power of genocide, the power of willful ignorance, and the power of capitalist realism combine into one, the ULTIMATE AMERICAN. Coming soon, from the makers of Cyberpunk 2077, comes: Technofeudalism: 45/47

Didn’t George Washington rotate his slaves out of Maryland, since Maryland had a law that; after ninety days (?) they would be emancipated? He would send them out with his wife when she left the state.

It was actually Pennsylvania that had the emancipation law. When George Washington was president, Philadelphia was the temporary capital, as Washington D.C. was still being built. If you watch the John Adams miniseries from HBO, you can see the moment Adams moves into the White House while it is still being built (by slaves of course).

Ah… That makes sense. I thought it was in Maryland, misremembered it. Looking into it, it was six months or 182 days actually. He would rotate them between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Mount Vernon, Virginia; resetting the six month clock. Thanks, I was spreading misinformation, unintentionally.

Carter actively courted the evangelical movement bringing them into US politics in a mainstream way.

Reagan was literally a movie star and on a reality TV show prior to being president (General Electric Showcase House where Reagan and Nancy lived in and showed off a “modern” house as a giant advertisement for GE)

Yeah definitely I brought up the evangelicals because that was the new horrible stuff Carter added that later reactionaries perfected.

US Presidents have been doing and allowing genocide to happen pretty much the whole times it’s been a country.

But even Trump being a reality TV star supported by whack job Christian fundamentalists isn’t new.
