I’m not sure if that’s the right avenue. I think they would pursue a writ of mandamus or I’m mixing up my early American history lessons. The writ compells a government official, this case the ag, to execute their duties and they are subject to arrest by the marshals of the court.

Will the us marshalls execute a court order. Who knows.

I don’t think so. The marshals work for the DOJ. If a large group of marshals thought of themselves as Justified badasses and we willing to try to arrest the AG - it would be insane. As soon as Trump learned who they were - he would mention them by name. Maybe every member of their family: …and Little Jimmy is six years old and he goes to Podunk Elementary School. It’s a shame that their daddy is a traitor who deserves bad things. Very, very bad things.

They and their families would get death threats. Trump would get them fired, and their lives would be ruined. All of that would happen at an insane speed - within hours. Plus they’d be 100% guaranteed to fail.

In other news - is a marshal actually called a deputy? Or is that a Justified artifice?
