Dont know why this is being down voted. The post here has a biased read of the article rather than its actual headline or contents.
The article factually reports that the advocacy group “StopAntisematism” levelled her “Antisemite of the Week”; not whether that is “right” or “wrong”. It also reports the group reported her to the authorities to investigate whether she has links with hamas.
Its puts both sides opinions across, and if anything paints her in a sympathetic light. The advocacy groups actions read as bizarre in the context given by the article.
The use of “antisemite” has become patently ludicrous. The word has been weaponised by Israel and it’s apologists for quite some time but in recent years its been massively overused to the point it no longer has meaning. The deliberate conflation between anti-sematism and being against the actions of Israel have gone too far and the term is becoming meaningless.
Its actually very dangerous as it will obscure true anti semetisim from view as people become increasingly cynical about the term being nothing more than a right wing propaganda term rather than when it is used to flag up genuine and worrying jewish based hate.
Similarly the idea of showing sympathy to the people of Gaza being the same as being pro-Hamas is also patently ludicrous and a dangerous precedent to be setting in public discourse.
