The idea that executive power needs to be checked by the legislative branch in order to push the country in a more pro-war direction, that the voting public absolutely does not want whether Republican or Democrat, is deeply ironic and perverse. I don’t think the Founding Fathers intended for this situation to appear. It’s sort of a ‘reductio ad absurdum’ of our political system.
I’m very uncomfortable with these revelations, and that Ukraine bombed planes that could have been loaded with nukes. Apparently, big money > big power > big sociopathy. I look forward to the day the world levels economic power and figures out a way to avoid this situation in another century.
