  • Pretty much. The only reason any “leaders” outside the USSR got involved is because it was hurting their own personal interests and their bottom line. If those atrocities were happening to anyone else (or even just anywhere else), world “leaders” would either have supported them or not gotten involved at all.

    Sure, the people on the ground did genuinely just want to put a stop to it, but their commanders and leaders didn’t really care about mass genocide - they just cared that it was the “wrong” people being killed.


  • I mean there’s literally no question about the Nazis being a genuinely evil fascist regime. But it is pretty obvious looking back that WWII only happened because it was primarily happening against white people - we’re seeing another holocaust-scale event right now but it’s totally okay because it’s happening to the “right” people this time.

    If the original Nazis targeted any other group of people, they probably would have gained and held on to global support from the major world powers, like Israel has right now.
