  • Oh ok, ok, gotcha. My bad.

So do you think that Lemmy is evenly divided between liberals and conservatives, and believes in even equal discussion about liberal and conservative viewpoints? Do you feel that someone who is a conservative would be welcomed here and be allowed to give their viewpoints in a fair and calm manner? Without fear of downvote brigading? You think it’s 50/50 here?

Do you feel that Lemmy should be described as a welcoming place for both liberals and conservatives to calmly talk about issues if you were describing it to someone?

Or would you say something like, “Lemmy is pretty liberal” as a general summary?

  • Facts! Funny how Lemmy overlooks all of what you posted. In between the ones saying that it didn’t really happen. The extremism on here is getting to be too much. I swear if just one word was changed in most people comments, I’d think they were Republicans.

What the fuck is going on with Lemmy lately?! There is enough stupid shit to make fun of and point out about this admin, people don’t need to invent shit. The security people did their jobs. And by judging the comments here lately, they did their very thankless jobs.

  • You are describing essentially every urban area in the US. Stop buying the propaganda.

Oh! Ok, so the US isn’t a warzone deadzone of people fighting off the police in the streets like Lemmy tries to tell me it is!? It’s not people starving and dying in the streets all because of Trump? It’s not masses of people being round up by Trump to go to special camps?!

Good! I think more Lemmys should post about the park and ice cream runs rather than try to portray as an awful country.

    I agree with you, guy.

  • Thank you. I am seeing more and more posts talking about how terrible the US is, but most of the nicer places people want to go to, Norway, Canada, England, etc, are actually more expensive than the US and hard to live in full-time if they have no family there. Which I guess doesn’t really matter, because most people saying they will move from the US, don’t. And those that do, will find out real fast. lol

Not to mention the US is huge, but most of Lemmy seems to live in big cities. The US has lots of rural towns where cost of living is low. But then Lemmy will cry that they’d be bored. So… lmao

I live in a small very affordable town, but since it’s small, there are no “No Kings” rallies or meetups where people wear vegan clothes and talk about how much capitalism sucks, so most of Lemmy would hate it. People in my own, work, go to the park and eat ice cream after work, and have bbq’s on the weekend and hang out on porches and talk. No driveby shootings, no drugs, etc. Lemmy doesn’t want people to know that this is actually how most of the US is. lol
