So if a ship pays the US, gets hit by Iran, the US will pay for the damages. Right?
Right?!
Aargh.

What the hell has Nauru done? Why do they need to be punished

Exactly. Its baffling that they are baffled that the UK government didn’t have any interest in helping them out. I bet they didn’t pay any tax to the UK from that fortune they made but still expect to be bailed out of troubles.
I didn’t have any sympathy for even the tourists visiting those places, when the war started. There was a bunch of Finnish tourists complaining how much the evacuation flights cost. I would like to tell them to go ski into a swamp. If you are stupid enough to go to a volatile region with human rights abuses, you should be paying a price. Too long have people gotten away with that. I enjoy all the consequences that are coming to them. Fuck all of them.

Well thats too bad.
Everyone had a nice easter? I hope you guys have monday off as well. I’m eating some crisps and watching DankPods

Good to see President Mad Orange Cunt is behaving completely normally on a Easter holiday.

Because they are War Pigs.
“Why should they go out to fight? They leave that all to the poor”

Or perhaps they were just saying that because its worth saying, even randomly in random places.

Yes. Theres all kinds of stuff happening, from EU based credit card/banking providers and digital payment systems to bringing industry back, supporting existing EU industry, streamlining the establishment of new companies, moving from US based service providers to EU based ones etc. Theres a whole bunch of new trade deals with not-USA countries already made and being made, in order to diversify trade so its not so reliant on the US.

This exactly. I find it completely baffling that people are talking about this stuff like its as simple as changing your mobile internet provider or cancelling your Amazon account.

Dismantling a intertwined global system that has been built in the last 80 years can’t be done in an afternoon.
I hate the US as much as the other people here, I want to get rid of them and their influence on us as much as the next guy, but its completely unrealistic to do it suddenly and in a speedy manner. Its a deep swamp and we are up to our necks in it, we need to dig ourselves out carefully so we dont sink deeper.

I’m your wife?!

It obviously happens to stop military movements
Yes in general destroying infrastructure does that. But in this particular case, I think the bridge not being finished already achieved that goal. This was just destroying stuff because Americans are being cunts.

I know what NASA’s plans are.
But like I said, no billionaire or trillionaire is going to live COMFORTABLY in the moon or Mars anytime soon. In a few centuries? Perhaps. But not in the next 70-100 years.
Hate to break it to you but the NASA base is not going to be some sort of luxury hotel where people can just go. Its going to be a very uncomfortable and cramped scientific laboratory.

I think you are vastly overestimating the possibilities of living outside of earth. I would argue that theres no way in hell for any of the people alive today to be able to live on the moon, Mars or even LEO comfortably. The rich arseholes won’t change the literal paradise the earth is for the hell of Mars. If they manage to make Mars look like the earth, with vast oceans, breathable air and whatnot, sure. But that’s just not going to happen. The trillionaires are not going want to live in a greenhouse, on a desert on Mars.
Fact is, humanity is stuck here for the next few hundred years at a minimum. So yeah, lets eat the rich and use the money they have accumulated to fix the planet. Once we’ve done that, we can look into doing something on Mars.

giving future trillionaires an option to get off the planet when we inevitably turn on them.
I say we should help and support them in this project in every possible way. Lets help them get to Mars or Venus. Sound awesome. I would love to read the headline “Elon Musk landed on Mars” and then never have to think about that guy ever again.

It wasn’t just trump saying it. They repeated it many times in the NASA stream before the launch. Regarding moonlanding deniers, they are just gonna misunderstand it on purpose and say “see! They never went to the moon with Apollo! Why would they be saying they have never went so far before!” etc. They are already doing it… >_>

Yeah I kinda cringed on that “god bless america” speech before the launch. Isn’t there 2 Canadians on board and a big part of the Orion was made/designed by ESA? All they got “and our partners around the world” in that speech.
I’m happy that “we” are going back there but this propaganda sillyness is disappointing. I know its always been a part of governments doing space projects, after all I think the only reason “we” are going back there is because the Chinese are going back there. The disappointing thing is that when I was a kid I really thought we would be over ourselves by now, but turns out that seems to be impossible and we are just going back to throwing rocks at each others. Plaaargh.
Anyway. Cool launch, that thing jumped off the pad as if someone kicked it in the nuts. Impressive stuff.

Theres a difference between reusing parts and reusing technology.
Whats the point of these glasses, anyway? Do people just think they are so interesting and important that they have to either record everything they do, or be ready to record everything at a moments notice? I haven’t had a picture taken of me since ~2010, so I don’t really understand these sorts of things.
