FunkyStuff [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•The Israel Embassy Shooter Manifesto(allegedly) - Ken KlippensteinEnglish8·2 days agoI’ve had to have a few talks with family members about that.
I don’t live in the US so sadly there just aren’t really a lot of Jewish people around here, makes it a lot harder to talk with family and get them to understand that as horrible as Israel is, there’s still plenty of awesome Jewish people.

I’m happy to see they didn’t leave room to call this antisemitic and focused almost entirely on the victims of the genocide, with choice words about the nature and humanity of evil.

Lol this goober was specifically saying he was opposed to nihilism. That rocks. I bet he and Nietzsche are really mad about people not understanding what the hell they were talking about somewhere, and they both deserve it.

FunkyStuff [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•Bulletins and News Discussion from May 5th to May 11th, 2025 - Fuck Fascists FridayEnglish1·15 days agoFrancis opened up a lot of dialogue with China. Relations between the Vatican and a lot of socialist countries have actually been cooling a lot in the 21st century. Go ahead and read Petro Parolin’s wikipedia article and check how many socialist countries he negotiated with. Honestly I was hoping that Parolin would be the compromise candidate and that if the Cardinals decided on a more moderate papabile WRT social issues they’d trigger the trap card and actually get us the first multipolarity bro Pope.
FunkyStuff [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•Bulletins and News Discussion from May 5th to May 11th, 2025 - Fuck Fascists FridayEnglish1·16 days agoThe address is mostly focused on continuing Francis’ papacy and he is talking about peace, universality, etc.
Then there is the bit on wikipedia that everyone’s talking about, IDK if it’s true or not (trusting wikipedia on a literal current event seems unwise) but it does seem a bit mixed here.

FunkyStuff [he/him]@hexbear.netto news@hexbear.net•Israel Seems To Have Struck Iran, Iraq, and Syria.English0·1 year agoI don’t think it’s plausible at all. Unconditional support for Israel is a really important pillar of post-cold-war US foreign policy. Nothing short of a very large economic downturn is going to make the US stop supporting Israel.
But you still can’t provide any evidence that white people are systemically oppressed in South Africa? As the comment you’re replying to says, most white people in SA live in formal housing in suburbs. They still actually have the property, land, and wealth passed down from colonization and apartheid. Their government isn’t really even challenging that, they still facilitate the exploitation of the black population, especially those far away from urban centers who work in mining and farming (as in the farmworkers, not farmers). If the white farmers themselves weren’t being attacked, most of us probably would’ve never heard about the inequality that still exists.
Just to make my point clearer, in Zimbabwe they actually took the land away from the Rhodesian settlers and gave it to revolutionaries, and even that wasn’t genocide per se.
