Seeing articles like these nearly every single week in the United States is, well, not boring and I don’t see anyone doing anything about these other than discussion.

Because they are part of the problem. A corporate, for-profit media system is antithetical to truth and freedom.

The slope is vertical. We might catch ourselves before we crater, but I don’t have much hope.

Both congress and the Supreme Court handed ceded all their power to the executive branch. We have a dictator now, full stop. This country is run by the whims of a pedophile protecting (at best), rapist, criminal (convicted, not punished - REWARDED).

I wonder if America will finally see what’s happening when he once again is handed a victory by the courts.

So glad someone else feels this way. I’ve been pretty certain we’ve been headed for balkanization since the first election. This districting fight feels like a logical step on the way.

This country is too big and diverse to accept a turnip dictatorship much longer.

The fact that he’s gotten away with every single one tells me we need to redefine the “worst” in history. He’s extremely fucking good at lying, it’s his only reliable metric.

Yes, completely. He’s going to walk and people in power will use the legal system to put down any pushback.

All of this was obvious from the get-go. He was running to keep himself out of prison and to enrich himself. The country fell for it, and we have no idea how bad it’s going to get.

Still is, but you nailed it. People wanted a criminal rapist who was best friends with the world’s most notorious child predator. None of what he is, was remotely hidden, every bit of it was clear and obvious. Everything that he’s doing, is things he said he would do.

It’s still the people’s job to hold them accountable, but most people you know just wanted this (if folks couldn’t be fucked to stop this, they gave it a default stamp of approval).

Because they realize that rules are just words on paper. They mean precisely nothing when the people in charge of enforcing them are the ones who are breaking them.

He deserves a goddamned posthumous award. There will never a death more ‘billionaire’ than this. I mean this is cartoon level, over the top, absurdist level perfection.

I mean tell me, if you just saw the headline “Man dies after swallowing a bee at a Polo match” that your reaction is anything but “I wonder which billionaire that was.”

It’s beginning to feel like that rapist was elected specifically to protect the child predators.

I wish I could disagree but every day when I try to talk about it, or get people to do something about it with me, so far 100% of time I get pushback for being alarmist, or that it’s fine, we’ll just vote better next time.

It’s more than just the apathy, it’s willing apathy, desired apathy, WEAPONOZED apathy. That’s the problem, those in control know they are working against the will of the people, but they also know the people are to scared, distracted, lazy and stupid to do anything about it.

I don’t know why obvious propaganda works on so many people. People I assumed had functional brains, just turn them off whenever the online. It’s fucking maddening, and I don’t see any way to combat it.
