Honestly, this is a genius play by Trump. He put 50% tariffs on India and now he’s telling Europeans they have to follow. Except their economy is far less self sufficient, so their only choice will be to do more business with the US.
“Completely destroy your economy and make yourselves wholly reliant on the US, effectively destroying any semblance of autonomy you had. You need to do it because…uhh…Putin bad man! Yeah, it’ll totally own Putin if you turn Europe into a powerless US colony!”
Seems like burning down Europe might’ve been the goal all along here.
