No love lost for NPR but PBS is a kick in the teeth. The kids programming is excellent, diverse, and most importantly safe, and my kids enjoy it immensely. You can turn a kid loose to watch PBS kids in a way you can’t with private services or god forbid YouTube. It was also one of the only free sources of streaming entertainment for low income folks who rely on this content more than anyone.

In the grand scheme of empire horrors my kid not being able to watch Molly of Denali is not that big of a deal, but for sure is one I will feel personally. But that pales in comparison to the impact on indigenous kids in Alaska who will lose perhaps their only instance of representation.

    Shit sucks.

Not to mention the loss of funding for local public radio stations that are the only source of critical information in many rural areas.

What a cruel and evil place this is.
