The exact geographic analogy isn’t important so much as lampooning what Danville city council thinks is going to happen by letting a giant chain casino take over your city.
I remember driving past Danville on the highway and seeing a sign for Dan Daniel Park. And it spurred me to be curious as to who this illustrious Dan was. Turns out it was some British guy (not named Dan) who was just wandering around naming shit Dan (did not explain why) and Dan Daniel is entirely unrelated
