Taco Bell has temporarily removed lettuce, guacamole, and pico de gallo from many menu items as a parasite causing severe diarrhea spreads across multiple U.S. states.

The fast-food chain acted out of caution as health officials investigate cases of cyclosporiasis, an intestinal illness linked to contaminated produce. The move affects popular items, including burritos, tacos, and bowls that typically feature fresh ingredients.

Ah ok. I’m not really a Taco Bell person (anymore - not since be a burritos were $1 and made of full fat beans).

I’m biased. From what I understand Taco Bell is extremely franchise dependent when it comes to quality. My locations always been pretty good. They only recently raised the price of a potato taco and bean and rice burrito to like $1.30 or so. I’d obviously prefer it still be a flat $1 but as far as convenience food goes it’s still one of the better options
