To be fair a lot has already happened. Trump is destroying US hegemony quicker than any anti-imperialist could. It’s honestly impressive just how efficiently stupid his admin is.
Oh for sure, he’s beating my wildest expectations here.
He is the American Gorbachev, attempting to “reform” the state by “opening” up the economy to opportunists who can easily strip the copper off the walls, while also letting said opportunists and wreckers enter positions of state power to defend said “reforms” and purge any competent politicians or civil servants left who can still resist the leadership.
Now we wait for the inevitable dissolution of the Union and Trump/ whoever succeeds him decides to shell the US capitol.

I imagine at some point they’re either going to have to start trading in yuan or simply collapse. Iran is going to control Hormuz going forward, and if they only accept yuan for passage then there’s not much choice.

we have uncovered an insidious cee cee pee plot to sit back and enjoy the collapse of the United States of Americai still don’t really get why this is happening, but are they basically saying (dollar) inflation is so bad they may have to start adding other currencies (like yuan) to their reserves to be able to keep their economy moving?
I think a big part of it is that passing through Hormuz requires payments in yuan now. They have a one dimensional economy built on oil exports.
