Reminds me of how China was stupid and backward for overreacting to sars and then overnight we suddenly were told to be very skeptical of their numbers and even question if they leaked it themselves. Legit…I take everything in western media with a huge grain of salt these days.

        They still are at it:

NATO commanders were as surprised as anyone else by the ineptness of the Russian assault on Kyiv, a debacle that saw the cream of Moscow’s combat troops and equipment destroyed.

Yeah i remember that did not happened, Russian army barely lost anything retreating from Kiev outskirts, and initial SMO seen AFU having like 5 times the numbers but getting thrown into complete disarray being attacked just as they prepared to launch their offensive into Donbas.

six months for a localized attack, two years for a regional Baltic war, and five for any wider European conflict.

        Enemy at the gates lmao

The absolute advantage Ukraine once held in battlefield innovation has evaporated.

What innovation? They were literally using maxim machineguns taken from museum, and making ad hoc AA guns from 6 Kalashnikovs taped together.

Most sobering for Western generals is the continued demonstration of Russia’s near total indifference to casualty rates

And here we are, Sauron don’t care how many orcs die (btw Tolkien narration of Ring War was surprisingly plausible, you can read good analysis in Atlas of Middle Earth).
