One of their president even got Nobel peace prize for it. It’s a well kept tradition. “Blow 'em, Crush 'em, Cage 'em in a zoo.” Followed by: “Thank you for your service.” It’s really not a surprise.

“controversial” in the sense that “is it okay to murder children?” is apparently a partisan issue in America.
Worse, it’s not even a partisan issue.
Because they’ve been doing it for so long, it becomes second nature. One of their president even got Nobel peace prize for it. It’s a well kept tradition.
