Guilty as charged. But in my defense, there was an air of legitimacy (I had a lot of friends and acquaintances go to the protests even).
This is the fate of every revolution without an agenda. The article should’ve also mentioned the group that originally staged the protests, which was able to garner support after the power vacuum, is funded by “Free Tibet”, and by virtue has neo-liberal ideas (which is what most most middle class youth have anyway — which is what makes up most of these “Gen-Z” groups).
