The US House speaker, Mike Johnson, has developed a go-to response when asked about something controversial Donald Trump or members of his administration said or did.

It’s some version of “I don’t know anything about that.”

Seriously, if there’s this many things about their direct line of work that they don’t know, maybe they should find another line of work.

Sometimes I say this at work, but you can be damn sure the second time that question is asked, I’m prepared.

At my first IT job (which was help desk/sysadmin), during onboarding I was told “it’s not okay to say ‘I don’t know’ unless you follow it up with ‘but I will find out.’”

I do not understand why no one has asked him if he isnt keeping up with current events in the government how can he be an effective leader of the house?

I know the answer is simply he is there to rubber stamp anything Trump wants but someone needs to ask him a hard question. Hell even follow up the next day like “you said you hadnt seen Trump call Americans garbage yesterday now that you have had a day care to respond?”

They just don’t answer and then that reporter is never allowed to ask questions again.

The media is thus a handy tool to legitimize their bullshit.

Middle management attempt to compartmentalize and avoid any accountability at all.

“This is the first time I’m hearing about that.” “I was unaware that had been occurring.”

They better learn to make it believable. Trump won’t hesitate to throw them under the bus and will claim it was their fault for not stopping him when they knew what he was doing.

Mike Johnson is a shitweasel of a person and a wretched little man.

This guy is one of the most gaslighty of all these motherfuckers. Feigning ignorance and acting like he’s just some innocent choir boy looking out for all of America and he never heard nuthin’ about all the bad stuff his cohorts are up to.

Sorry to be petty, but I just cannot get over the way Mike Johnson looks in every photograph. He looks like an implausibly on-the-nose caricature of a pederast. He looks like the kind of dude who sews a hole in his pants pocket so he can touch himself during meetings. He looks like he’s constantly coated in flop sweat and distracted by the possibility that someone’s going to discover the kiddie porn dungeon at his house. That guy is just fuckin’ weird. Sorry, but the photo on this post just sent me over the edge.

There’s a reason that particular caricature exists and you react the way you do. Your response is a defense mechanism to keep your community safe. The dude is in the pedo-uncanny valley.

Psssh, she wasn’t ousted, she quit the second she was eligible for lifetime pension benefits. She’s a lazy piece of white trash bilking the system, just like she and her kind love to complain about.

She got out, got her money, can claim she stood up against pedophilia and tyranny so her ass is covered when the whole trump thing falls apart, and she can just write book deals and play stocks for the rest of her fucking life and she’ll be rich forever.

GOD DAMN do I ever hate this system.

She has to be 62 to get pension at 5 years. At 51 she needs 20 years. It’s probably Trump saying she’s a traitor. She can dish but she can’t take heat.

    Ignorance is BS

I see what you did there, Guardian.

Whether he really knows or doesn’t: it’s bullcrap anyhow.
It shows the authoritarian structure that is to replace everything. Being responsible in your job was never desired. Let alone being qualified.
Having people like him on the totem pole is a win-win for everybody higher up.
