The US House speaker, Mike Johnson, has developed a go-to response when asked about something controversial Donald Trump or members of his administration said or did.
It’s some version of “I don’t know anything about that.”
These guys are payed way too much to say “I don’t know” this often.
Seriously, if there’s this many things about their direct line of work that they don’t know, maybe they should find another line of work.
Sometimes I say this at work, but you can be damn sure the second time that question is asked, I’m prepared.
At my first IT job (which was help desk/sysadmin), during onboarding I was told “it’s not okay to say ‘I don’t know’ unless you follow it up with ‘but I will find out.’”
I like that. I will probably use that one.
Essentially, that is what they’re being paid for.
This guy knows more about his son’s masturbatory habits than the guy he is 2nd in line to replace.
The useless shit probably knows that the main reason he’s in his job is as assassination insurance.
I do not understand why no one has asked him if he isnt keeping up with current events in the government how can he be an effective leader of the house?
I know the answer is simply he is there to rubber stamp anything Trump wants but someone needs to ask him a hard question. Hell even follow up the next day like “you said you hadnt seen Trump call Americans garbage yesterday now that you have had a day care to respond?”
