Now I don’t know if any of you are history buffs or not…
West Germany had one of the largest armies in europe, this isnt a novelty.
An armed Germany historically in general isn’t a good thing, but still fair.
Neither have most armed western country done any good. German military has one of the most atrocious records of acts against humankind, but it’s not that exceptional in comparison to many of its european/western allies.
The need to declare the former axis power as a exceptional evil, is done for the western colonial powers to whitewash their own crimes, erase victims of slavery & colonialism, and make local leftist “feel better” about being british/french/dutch/belgian/american nationalists. Its also why I find it silly to act as if USA/UK rehabilitating nazis/italian & japanese fascist was a great “betrayal” on the “true soul of the nation” or something or that operation paperclip made america somehow fascist - these are just attempts to wiggle out of white guilt and not combat chauvinsim.
Well said, other western countries are very quick to point to Nazi Germany as some uniquely evil place but it seems their biggest crime was invading other “civilized” countries. Everything else is just par for the course as an imperial power
Could somebody post a :germany-cool: for me, I don’t have hexbear emojis
God eurolibs are so paranoid, why the fuck would russia invade Germany? According to their logic russia is about to collapse in 5 seconds but at this same time is about to invade all of Europe?? Lmao

Something something Umberto Eco
Even if Russia were in prime form, the EU still has thrice its population and an economy seven times bigger
Tbh I think it could also be a reaction to having the Ukraine situation happen in their backyard while being at the mercy of a progressivly more geriatric and unhinged US leadership as time goes on.
NATO negotiating leverage is decaying, Russia can just switch a lot of Germany’s oil off. In a pure power sense I think it’s about re-establishing negotiating leverage in the vacuum the US is making.
Which like- you could just put that money into green energy and not have to worry about Russain oil at all and maybe uphold Minsk 2 and all that other shit but the western hegemons NEEED to be in total control or they’ll freak out IG.

In the first instance, the drive will focus on voluntary enlistment, with greater incentives for those who sign up, including a monthly starting salary of €2,600 ($3,000) – an increase of €450 from the current level.
If the new quotas are not met, the government will have the option of mandatory call-ups, where necessary.
The myth of “Voluntary” enlistment: volunteer or get forcefully conscripted
only a 20% increase in wage? they want conscription
Shit I make almost that much sitting at a desk in a cushy office job.
And that’s after taxes.
I mean, you may be speaking from US salaries. I’m a Spaniard and a rather decent job here (above the mean) runs you, after taxes, 2000€/month.
After taxes I take home about $2850/month
I feel like European US puppet states always say this but then never truly reindustrialise because they’re worried that would start making people have class consciousness again

the adolfs must be destroyed before they destroy humanity
Cycle of fascism has shifted by 10 years.
poor widdle army, so neglected. won’t you open your hearts, tighten your belts? just lookathatface
The only countries that “are about to learn why the US doesn’t have healthcare” are in NATO.
1936
Since Germany was never de-nazified there’s still time. Sorry Hans, keiner doppelbestrafung. :( :(
Just gotta conscript all the nazis and send them to the frontq
Germany will fight The Spectre until the last man.
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
The biggest armies, by raw troop numbers, in NATO:
- USA
- Turkey
- France or … Germany ? If this goes through?
How will Poland and their (current) right wing government react to such a large army, will they trust them and let them be stationed on Polish soil for a NATO mission? Afaik current relations between Poland and Germany are not very good (border controls disputes).
