Steps to reproduce:

  1. Post a test image to my community, !altmedia@altmedia.house
  2. Go to homepage, image is not expandable in-page and thumbnail doesn’t show up.

Thumbnail works for articles, just not images. So doesn’t appear to be an issue for post-rs. Clicking the image leads you to a new page which is just the image, instead of expanding in the page, as I would expect.

Not sure if this is an issue with lemmy-ui or lemmy itself. Probably the ui right? I look in the server journal and there aren’t any errors.

Edit: I thought I would add that I did a ‘from scratch’ installation of Lemmy, not using Docker. I feel like given the posting behavior below, that I must be missing an environment variable definition that gets set by Docker that lemmy-ui uses in a thumbnail url or something.

    I can expand the image you posted (test2) on my side, but not the one I posted. Weird!
