Just a bit of extra horror for you: someone I used to know who stabled horses professionally told me that most of the bodies end up being sold to maggot farms. There was a maggot farm near us which had warehouses containing tile-lined troughs several meters long and wide - they looked just like swimming pools but, y’know, full of maggots - and they’d put the carcass in them for the maggots to feast on. If the horse’s owners wanted something to bury they’d (brace yourself) cut off the horse’s hooves and head and bury those.

I can’t afford organic tissues, I just use regular Kleenex.

No need to be worried, they’re probably just trying to deal with a pile of human corpses, nothing weird.

Not even a joke: I know someone with a wine cellar and he has bottles set aside for certain people’s death and there’s a bottle for Trump in there.

The important thing about glass for me is that it’s probably the best material to send to landfill. I mean, ideally it’s reused or recycled, but glass is extremely inert. Once the sharp corners are ground down it’s basically a rock.

Back in the eighties my parents (British) bought a villa in Spain, all on it’s own on a mountainside. Over the following ten years fifty - yes, fifty - other villas were built, all independently, all by Brits, all on top of each other, most without planning permission. A group of busybodies formed a HOA-style association and took over the area, building an English Shoppe with a red phone box outside where you could buy the Daily Mail and Tetley Tea, an English pub, replacing the road signs with English ones, even an English radio station. The last time we visited and decided to sell, we arrived to find they’d illegally installed a gate across the road - the PUBLIC road - and were only giving the remotes to certain worthy residents, which apparently we weren’t.

But it’s okay. Because they weren’t dirty migrants forcing their culture on others and refusing the integrate; they were expats just looking for a little bit of sun.

Well, I’ve got to say: I wasn’t convinced by this argument at all until that diagram appeared. And now, wow, I’m sold. Holy shit. Looks, there’s shapes and everything. Truly, if something is shown in a diagram it MUST be accepted as fact.

So, yeah, a story from a Russian government mouthpiece quoting a Russian government spokesperson spouting Russian government talking points that - deary me, oh my days, can you believe it, bless my soul, what are the odds, well I’ll be - paints a negative image of the country the Russian government illegally and unjustifiably invaded. Or, maybe the oligarchy are just pissed off that the warlords aren’t buying their weapons from them any more?
