pretty sure India and Pakistan basically agreed to peace themselves and the US role was minimal, neither country wanted to endure the cost of escalating the conflict and both had made their point

Trump is just looking for new ppl to hang out with bc his old pal Joe isn’t coming out of the home anymore. I think this was a success for him. He got to show off his jets and his beautiful military men to Putin, and the nasty press didn’t manage to ruin the vibes. Even floated the idea of hanging out in Moscow soon, I bet Putin would show him some cool tanks and gorgeous Russian military men.
holy shit, the Russians took Tors’ke
we’ll have to wait and see if it has any tangible impact, or if it’s more a case of doing something for the sake of doing something. I wouldn’t trust the Iranian counter-intelligence to do anything halfway-competently at this stage. they already got so deeply infiltrated that they had fucking mossad drone factories set up across the country. Hopefully it will be more effective than I’m guessing.
top economists say that less jobs = bad economy
wow these guys are freakin geniuses omg thats crazzy bro thank goodness we have these idiot tea leaf readers
I think you have to see those early 20th century fascist states and the success they had in domestic repression as a direct consequence of WW1 and the mass politics that emerged from it. You had explicitly anti-democratic, militarised states being run by and for millions of traumatised, radicalised veterans of a brutal war. I don’t know whether it’s really possible to achieve the same totality of repression in the present epoch within the imperial core, it doesn’t seem to have worked for them so far, all that’s happened has been escalation of confrontation and delegitimisation of the bourgeois order. In the periphery of course it’s very much possible to sustain totalitarian dictatorship given the endless support that the imperial countries provide for such governments.
Stopped the campus occupations in their tracks pretty effectively, but the downstream effects of that are still playing out so who can say. Violent repression can’t resolve the underlying source of dissent, and there’s no sign of that happening any time soon.
im pretty sure it all started with someone scrawling the name on a barricade in pen which got photographed and blew up
BRICS also has the fucking UAE in it lol, and Egypt, that pathetic US vassal state that is more complicit in the Gaza genocide than anyone other than the ones actively participating.
I’m glad that people generally seem to have moved on from the incessant “BRICS will save us” attitude that dominated “anti-imperialist” thought for a little while. Completely absurd idea. We have to do better than developmentalism sans internationalism.
until China/ Russia/ EU is forced to step in
why the hell would anyone do anything to help Americans out in that situation anyway, it’s not like Americans have ever done anything to help anyone else out. Rest of the world has its own problems to deal with.
ah yeah wasnt sure if u meant that or twitter

So GPT-5 just launched and the presentation included a bunch of really dumb graphs that are obviously wrong…
And also it’s just generally not that impressive/not a huge step up from previous capability, and that’s what the benchmarks are saying. Apparently they squished the hallucination issue, but again, benchmarks, not real usage.
Is it over?
GPT 5 coming out today so that might be soon if it’s a disappointment
wtf but the stock market is doing better than ever. this can’t be true.
Going to be interesting to see how police try and respond to this.
They’ve been trying to build up drone production according to reports but it’s very difficult when the zionists are free to bomb them and the Lebanese “state” just lets it happen. It’s a very difficult situation for Hezbollah.
idk it’s probably fair to hope that the state wouldn’t attack the force that has defended Lebanon time and time again from the genocidal invaders, but i guess the geniuses in the government think that they can be another Jordan, rather than this leaving themselves defenceless against an entity which was trying to annex the south of the country literally within living memory
Hezbollah made a lot of mistakes but the traitorous backstabbing on display here isn’t anything to do with those i think
The giant rabbit actually got pushed back to quite a significant degree, didn’t it? A fairly effective counter-attack in that case (not hugely surprising since the Russians haven’t shown any capacity to advance quickly since the very start of the war, even if they had anything more than infantry in that attack). The duck is interesting and Suriyakmaps was speculating that the rate of advance in other areas may pick up with the best Ukrainian troops being redeployed, so this would make sense.
