What’s even a local mod? Reddit has no mods of their own in general and they outsource „admin” work to some call center in India where reports are actioned upon a roll of dice.

I meant they can’t differentiate between them because there’s too many reports to go through probably. Reddit relies on volunteers because it can’t afford to employ enough people to moderate it for real.

I think Reddit has strong anti witch hunt rules after the whole Boston bomber fiasco. Can’t fault them for going for „blast it from the orbit” approach, they couldn’t even keep Reddit profitable without resorting to hosting porn and you want them to have nuance in moderation.
