Much of the indictment focuses on Direct Action Minnesota’s group chat on Signal, a messaging platform known for being private and secure that was used by many rapid response groups during Operation Metro Surge.

Since we don’t know how this chat log was collected, it’s hard to say how the security/privacy model failed. It could just be a failure in maintaining secure use by all participants. I don’t have any special knowledge about the best tools for this, but organizational structure is definitely part of the solution.
I did run across an interesting tool recently that could be useful: https://chitchatter.im/ https://github.com/jeremyckahn/chitchatter
Seems to check off a lot of boxes including self-hosting and memory-only chat logging which ensures ephemerality. The usability would obviously be more involved since it isn’t using ph#s and isn’t an app that’s as accessible to average non-tech folks.
I think having a tier comms structure is likely a good solution. Maybe use Signal for general info and organizing things that are not as sensitive, but only use ephemeral secure chats for higher tier comms between vetted leadership for
kinds of things. I don’t want to wag my finger at these folks trying to organize on the fly, but using mass chats for certain discussions is not recommended.

Since we don’t know how the chat was compromised, it may have been as easy as someone not using lockdown mode with a strong passcode. There’s features that may have worked to avoid this log getting out, like disappearing messages, but even that could be archived by an infiltrator. Better org structure can help with that.

don’t trust Signal for your clandestine comms folks

If they had any strategic depth or self awareness, they would pull back from MENA, so you are probably right,
is going to continue to feed the US MIC to Iran. Truly the graveyard and mortician of empires.

Yes, it seems unlikely considering Hegs etc. I think there is some tension between Trump wanting an out/win and the ongoing zio project. The Trump brand and zio base having a separation of interests that is interesting, but it could change abruptly back the other way.

So it seems like
wants to go solo against the axis of resistance in direct contradiction to Trump’s Beautiful Birthday Peace Deal. Either this is more subterfuge from USIS or the entity has lost all official support from US going forward.
I hope Iran and their allies are well prepared for all eventualities.

Deal or No Deal, it definitely seems like there is potentially a scenario where US backs away from active support of the entity. There was already a moment iirc where Iran fired strikes at the entity after their bombings in Lebanon, and the US did not respond or provide active defense. So this Trump’s Special Birthday Deal kayfabe seems like Iran trying to give Trump an out and ‘win’ while creating some separation between US and entity. It’s an interesting play that sort of rhymes with Reagan’s hostage deal. And if it doesn’t work out, at least they might strike the entity with US out of play for a short while.
I could see Trump posting about how dumb entity is to break his beautiful deal, and they can deal with Iran on their own now.
We’ll see what happens over the next few days how long the kayfabe holds.

nuclear material will be destroyed and removed
This sounds like they might be doing something cool if you read between the lines.

Assume perfidy until something is announced through Iranian channels, and even then still assume it. The timeline is lining up for another surprise weekend. Ugh.
Can’t get fooled again

I’m imagining some midterm ads with that quote remixed into a dance track banger. Of course the Dems would never be able to pull that off.

I think it mostly just the reality of how info flows about these things. Minimal reporting that is hard to verify initially and takes time to corroborate/investigate. So it is like a buffer/queue process where these early news bits provide little to discuss, but once the longer phases of investigation from various sources start to accumulate, it seems like a torrent of info and discussion for a while as a synthesis starts to form from the fog of war.

Borderless fighters are overseeing your transit chokepoints. Continue your aggression, and they will seize your throat.

This seems like a big deal. I bet it will be mostly ignored by western media, but not a good market indicator for a Tuesday.

trying to act like all the campaigns of war crimes are all completely separate things.

Looks pretty cool, decent ground clearance and very urban functional with decent looking visibility. This could be great utility van with some solar panels on top. It could also be ideal as a taxi/rideshare fleet vehicle. I’d really like an upgraded version with AWD, but range is the big question. Maybe that can be upgraded too. ~$20k for an AWD version with good range battery pack would still be an amazing deal.
