The author seems to be purposefully allowing the discussion of the decision to be framed around right wing talking points about big government and bureaucracy. It doesn’t matter what points you make afterwards if you start by fundamentally agreeing with a premise that should be fought against you’ve already lost the war.
Or Biden could have just not helped commit a genocide? Why was that not an option? Why are we blaming people that were mad about our government allowing the mass murder of civilians?
That’s a thought terminating cliche that doesn’t actually help anything or progress the conversation.
