I saw a comment the other day on this that I’ve been thinking on, paraphrasing it went something like:
This article is intended to send a message to North Korea. Several years after the fact they publicly release details of an operation that was arguably pointless in the first place and resulted in a massive failure on several accounts. The listening device wasn’t planted, they were discovered immediately and the ongoing nuclear talks quickly fell apart after this, and it’s unknown if those are related. If you’re NK you have to assume this wasn’t the only operation and that other attempts have been made, and if they aren’t talking about those failures maybe one was a success. So this could be the US signaling to NK via the NYT “We’re listening” to spread paranoia or signal they know about an upcoming plan.
IDK, personally I just read this stuff as them bragging like the ghouls they are.

In my local area it’s 4 dollars for a lone hashbrown, I think where my folks live it’s closer to 2 something

Someone at work offered me the hashbrown from their combo breakfast the other day, I ate it because I couldn’t stand seeing 4 dollars worth of fried taters thrown out. Have they always been so oily?

It’s clippy revisionism, the nerds shit all over clippy when Microsoft forced him in there. Nobody really even remembers clippy outside of memes.

Or disable PFP’s, or do like the Disney streaming app where you select one PFP out of an assortment of choices. As long as folks are willing to stay on the platform, Corpo’s got lots of options

It’s just like the endless complaining about Oklahoma‘s toll roads that is never not funny to me

Roosevelt and Pearl Harbor as well

no one from the public has had access to the area.
“Lost”

or that it is outside its scope
This right here is key I think. The western LLM’s would never

I need the following words to be banned from headlines: decimated, unprecedented, slammed,

Suffocatingly hugged as they drift off to reeducation

That’s true for the old shit too. When I was on the Nimitz I did maintenance on a portion of the propulsion system. Literally anything more than basic maintenance or simple parts swapping was going to be done by a shipyard dockworker. Despite having the tools and technical knowledge we weren’t allowed. That thing is cold war tech.

You have an (alleged) history degree and you seriously think it was just one man on his own whim who sabotaged reconstruction?
Andrew Johnson took over after Lincoln’s assassination, and sabotaged the Reconstruction efforts, causing the Jim Crow era of racial inequality of the next 100 years, and eventually leading to MAGA.
Americans did this. All of them collectively, not “one bad apple” you can shame and wave away the rest.

better utilize prison production capacity.
Nazi shit

The thing about closing the straight is that’s pretty much the top of the escalation ladder while the US has more options to pick from. Ultimately this makes the two sides look very unequal in responses because they are. Iran can’y jump straight to the top of their ladder, and they don’t have as many rungs to escalate on their side every time the US decides to escalate on theirs.

He’s got that direct line to Marmite

Politely, what a dumb fucking thing to say.

I was hoping that he’d manage to get the back open so we can see how dazed they were inside
Definitely, it would be a shame to waste a good opportunity
