The European Union continues to make no diplomatic efforts to find an end to the war, as chief diplomat Kaja Kallas wrote today that the “longer Russia wages war, the tougher our (sanctions) response.”

How are they still threatening someone with sanctions after already doing 17 rounds of it? Everthing that can damage the Russian war economy has already been done at this point, but I guess they’re gonna be real scared when they read about that 18th sanction package.

Reading this just made me sad knowing this guy will spend the rest of his life in a cell

Why is the world like this?

There is absolutely no way Aftenposten will change to a more NATO-critical position. It’s THE conservative newspaper, it would be the last major newspaper in the country to make a switch like that.

I thought surely this title is an exaggeration but it’s literally that bad. Anything that questions the status quo about anything, or just exists outside the majority, should be treated as a threat to national security.

Also, extremely disingenous that the state calls this guy, who is both appointed and then employed by the Home Office, an independent reviewer. They’re incetivised to chose someone with whatever values and priorities matches their own, which makes it extremely concerning this is the kind of guy they went with.
