Iran’s demands have not been about nuclear weapons, they just demand that they can continue nuclear enrichment. Which makes sense because they need it for their power plants.

Ironic for the US to have an issue with that.

If he was harassed for over a year by feds I can definitely understand him being paranoid, disoriented and possibly even suicidal. It’s reasonable to assume the worst from feds, but even if it was ‘self inflicted’ it was almost surely caused by the harassment.

I don’t speak military language, were there US terrorists killed in the rescue mission?

Do Know of any good sources about his death? I didn’t know about him but would like to read more than a Wikipedia article/AP news.

Imagine how easy it would be for Melon to assassinate people with ‘accidents’ like this

Shows exactly how ‘factual’ NYT is as a newspaper. They live in a fantasy land.

The drone speaks the only diplomatic language that the zionazi’s understand 🙏

Using war as justification for austerity only works if the war has popular support which is not the case here. I think this is going to lead to extreme clashes between labour and capital.

Just assume anything he says is a lie until you get confirmation from a source with a better track record

They’ll say that Ukraine has no other choice since it’s dependent on US for military aid.

Sounds very similar to how Israeli embassies direct “grassroots” zionist advocacy groups worldwide.

Al Mayadeen is an extremely based news outlet

I wrote about this a week ago but it was right before the news mega closed:
In Europe there have been a few small attacks on zionist institutions. A group that calls itself “Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya” posted videos of the attacks on twitter. No one has been harmed and material harm is very limited. Media are calling of antisemitic terror attacks because a majority of targets were jewish zionist institutions.
The group uses a black flag with white letters, which raises suspicion because islamic resistance groups usually steer away from this combination as it is famously used by IS. A few boys aged 17-19 have been arrested related to one of the attacks.
My guess is that either these attacks are from very inexperienced activists organizing online, drawing inspiration from islamic resistance. Or they are somehow planned or instigated by mossad/cia to attempt to draw european countries more into their war on iran.
Unfortunately I can’t find a non-zionist source of information. But if you look op the name of the group on nitter you can find more information about the attacks.
The mronline article convinces me that it’s a false flag as well. I think the lack of attention (only media outrage on the day after, but nothing catched on not even politically) shows that the average person really doesn’t care anymore about supposed anti jewish attacks.

From my limited knowledge on both Islam and Christianity, for Shia Islam and Catholicism the religious leaders are divinely chosen and both have rituals for mourning etc. While Sunni Islam, more similar to Protestantism maybe, avoids overly dramatic rituals and religious leaders are more seen as scholars rather than divine beings.
These comparisons are very superficial so I have no idea if they hold culturally as well.

When I was a child I used to lie, and sometimes I lied about stuff that wasn’t trivial and thus I had to keep making up more elaborate stories to keep up the initial lie, until at one point people found out anyways and my world came crashing down. It feels like Trump is in this situation now, and I wonder what he’ll do when the media catches up with reality and he can no longer pretend.

I sometimes wonder if it’s a privileged position to take peace as the ‘normal state’ the world should be in. In reality, we are in constant war. For many it’s possible to ignore it, but that doesn’t change reality. Should children grow up in peace, or should they be aware of the constant class war going on that impacts their life and their future? Children in Gaza, Libanon, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Yemen and many more countries are forcibly aware of this reality. It’s a different state of mind that is necessary to brew resistance. When I talk to young people who grew up in war they take pride in their identity, if they are not so traumatised that they prefer to forget everything.

Em-dashes do not necessarily mean it’s AI. Journalists use it all the time because they improve readability. I believe almost all outlets nowadays use AI for spelling checks and ‘improvements’ on readability but articles fully written by AI are usually not information dense and thus horrible to read.
