Something tells me that Iran et. al. aren’t sourcing their battle telemetry from American companies traded on the NYSE, but sure if it makes you feel better.

Most will not be aware the statement was made at all. There’s little profit in the media reporting it.

They see their territory as their empire, and lashing out at their captives is a way to prove to themselves that they’re still in control. It’s a classic abuser habit.

If the empire doesn’t abandon you or try to assassinate you, are you really living the full puppet experience?

It’s not just the lies, of course, but the obvious timing for week-weekend cycle market manipulation that no one cares about. Be assured next Friday evening to Saturday morning NYSE time, there will be another dismal report or threat of escalation which will be “resolved” by Sunday night or Monday morning. It’s an interesting choice to posture that it’s a simple military maneuver to open the strait, but the supposedly strongest naval power is unable or unwilling to do so. If it were simple, they’d do it; if the strait wasn’t important at all, they wouldn’t talk about it.
Not sure about the rhetorical strategy with acknowledging that it’s important, but complaining it’s still closed. Better optics would be to just not say anything at all, but he can’t even manage that.

It’s still a ways out before the price becomes a significant obstacle for the politically ambivalent populace. Between the inflation and ramped up fracking, the US is more insulated from fuel prices than their vassals.

The west be like “oh no, Cuba is spreading!”

Didn’t it just get back from retreating
The outrage will always be wherever the western media is told to put it, and that will always be on topics that don’t invite too much embarrassment or criticism to the empire that owns them.
