Thanks for posting about your experience with the leases, I had not considered the implication of the land use for solar on the landowner. I assumed you could still do whatever you wanted (within reason) under the panels with the understanding that anything in the way when it came time to service them would be moved or destroyed. Preventing grazing or planting would be a problem. I assume that is not necessarily how every lease is setup but its good info.

Having been to a couple of drill/frac sites on ag land, I’d say y’all made the right call by saying no to that.

I never thought I would see a walkout strike by the TSA, I also never would have expected to say critical support for TSA workers.

HOA’s are a plague and should be banned. If it covers common spaces, parks, maintenance, that ahould be the city paying for it. If it is about residential appearance and guidelines, that should again be handled by the cities code enforcement. Nowhere should some random bunch of your neighbors or a corporation be allowed to levy duties and set rules for your house…

When I lived at my old house, the interstate (a mile away or so) switched from sodium lights to LEDs and the light bleed was bad enough that I could have done precision yardwork at night. Even with blackout curtains, I could see the outline of my door at night. It was miserable.

I’m sure Congress will get right on blocking that war just like they did in the last two times. They really put him in his place and I am sure he learned his place after that roasting.

If it helps, they were never meant to protect the US homeland. Logistically there is too much coastline and not enough batteries. You have the same amount of protection as you did before.

Absolutely shameful that the US started a pointless war, without congressional approval, then burned through a known limited resource that could have been gone to protect lives as protection from unjustified aggression. Broader primaries where 2 candidates get through for each party, then ranked choice voting in the main election would go a long way to that but at this point. I think the rot/stupidity/corruption/malevolence may be terminal at this point without some major wake up or change.
