World News@quokk.au•A Russian ship likely carrying two nuclear reactors, possibly destined for North Korea, suffered a series of explosions and sank in unexplained circumstances
5·3 days agoThey literally have a direct railway to North Korea. So if they can fit it on a flatbed wagon, they can send it per rail (oddly enough, they don’t seem to have a road connection).
Guess, it didn’t fit or is some old thing, the Russians really don’t care much about. There are a lot of more or less covert operations going on against shipping right now. Someone even decapitated Iran’s government and since then the Strait of Hormuz is sort-of closed…

38·17 days agoThat’s just what total democracy looks like. Completely normal. In Germany, some political parties (left and right) are also banned to make sure they can’t ever be elected.

World News@quokk.au•Russian superyacht sails through Strait of Hormuz despite blockade
6·17 days agoThat thing has a lot of radomes. Looks like a spy ship to me. Maybe it’s helping Iran keeping an eye on the strait.

4·17 days agoIt’s like Brexit with the exception, that most citizen of the core country of The Great US Empire don’t really profit from the absurd benefits that come with being the defacto ruler of the world. They never got full state healthcare anyway. They never got a real social security net. All the profits were hoovered up by the military industrial complex and the Epstein billionaire club anyway. For the majority of the people, losing the world leader status might actually be a neutral change. They can’t lose what they never had.

The owner of Valve and therefore Steam.
Steam is a typical middle man business taking 30% (unsuccessful games) to 20% (extremely successful games) from the overwhelming majority of all PC game purchases.
Not selling on Steam is basically financial suicide for game devs because Steam is a quasi monopoly. Most PC gamers only buy there (rather than on a dev’s own site, GOG, Itch or anywhere else). So game devs pay the Gabe toll - just like almost all phone app devs pay the Apple and Google tolls.
