And now we have arrived at the tragedy of the commons. Why should anyone care about common interests over themselves?

Not to mention invisible when it does it’s job right. When public health is supported people don’t get sick, epidemics don’t happen, things look good. So some genius gets it in their head to cut public health funding. Why waste money on public health when people aren’t sick. Then public health gets cut, people get sick, people blame the health care industry which isn’t the same as public health. That happenes until public health gets a little more support, and people stop getting sick, rinse any memory of the last time, and repeat.
That’s a good question, followed by a lot of bad assumptions.

Perhaps no, but anyone who has watched a loved one develop dementia knows that dementia patients begin saying the most uncouth things. It’s like the filter we all have in our heads to stop us from saying the worst stuff is one of the first things to diminish as dementia takes hold. If he had dementia things like this happen more often. Thing is it’s impossible to tell with Trump cause he never had a filter to begin with.

Because if they don’t he’ll sue them for being very unfair, and then he’ll get the stadium named after him and a $300 million dollar cheque. He owns the judicial branch and unlike every other president before him he is willing to use it as a tool for his petty revenge. Turns out that every other president actually believed in a higher power then themselves, be it God or country. Donald doesn’t believe in anything.

By that day the constitution will just be another piece of paper he wipes his ass with. Now is the easiest time to resist and stop that future, not once it’s already happened.

That’s what happens when the Supreme Court decides that when the president does it, it’s not illegal. He does what he wants because the Republican justices decided that The President is above the law. There literally isn’t any legal way for a judge to enforce their orders over Trump.

Lol you expect the GOP to live up to a standard they place on other people? I thought the whole reason for being a Republican was to tell others what to do while trying to ignore the people as much as possible.

Don’t hold your breath. Everyone was saying there’s no way Republican’s can win in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024. I’ve seen them win a majority of those elections even with every poll saying it’s a guaranteed loss for Trump, he still wins.

Some plastics cause cancer, others seem to be completely ignored by biological processes. Plastics range from cellophane which is basically just cellulose fibers chained together to Teflon which is basically entirely man made. It all depends, but generally speaking, plastic in the microwave is bad.

The word of the law is “manifestly unlawful” which is taken to mean unless the order is undeniably unlawful it is to be obeyed. So if a service member thinks an order might be unlawful they should obey it. If they’re completely certain it’s unlawful then they can disobey the order.

A coordinated effort to withhold the tax revenue the state expects would probably do it. Unfortunately that’ll land whomever participates a prison sentence.

I’ve had my posts swamped by downvotes at least once by saying “I not pro-Palestine, I’m pro-People” as if I have to favor factions rather than, you know, being against the victimization of people who did nothing to deserve it quite independently of whatever label they’re tagged with.
I think part of the reason being pro-people makes others angry is because everyone is so polarized politically. A lot more people than usual are approaching politics expecting that you’re either supporting my ideals or not supporting them. Which may as well be opposing them and opposing ‘our’ ideals is your moral failing. Nuance is gone, the political center is gone. At least until there are some serious changes.

…did the NRA just do something I agree with? This is indeed the darkest timeline.

It’s almost like the Republicans are using the Epstein files as a way to distract everyone from them taking cudgel to the foundation of democracy and the Democrats are playing right into it. What if the files were released today, would any representative or senator really see any consequences? Would any of them sit before a judge? Will it be something else for them to yell at each other instead of addressing the real elephant in the room, the governments abject failure at governing. Cause you know, we could just believe the survivors. I trust them over anything the government releases at this point.

Except that his administration is. Look at Abrego Garcia. He’s going to be deported and there won’t be any recourse to undo that. If it can be done, with no consequences, and can’t be undone, doesn’t matter if a piece of paper says it’s illegal. It won’t be enforced, and a law that isn’t enforced might as well not exist.

It doesn’t matter, Trump can legally do whatever he wants, he’s a king. 1/3rd of the population of America believes that Trump can rule unilaterally. The other 2/3rds are scared of the first and they should be. Trump and MAGA have the executive branch, the judicial branch, the legislative branch, the armed forces, law enforcement, immigration enforcement, and wall street in their side. They only group not on Trump’s side is the general public and it should be pretty obvious now that he doesn’t have any use for the general public. Trump won. He’s king of The United States of America, I suggest you start to think about what you’re going to do about it.

I agree with you that there is a significant chance J.D. Vance would do more to harm the US and the World than Trump ever could, you don’t have to be such a jerk about it. Being right doesn’t give you permission to be mean.

They’d remark on how restrained he was, ‘he only had sex with 30 children, the Democrats murder hundreds of children every day to collect their adrenochrome.’
She literally can’t, ICE agents are federal agents which means they have civil immunity from lawsuits that are a direct result of their duties. Unless they’re doing something that a reasonable person would understand to be a breach of the law. That said the federal courts seem to use Donald Trump’s circumstantial definition of a reasonable person and only his. So fat chance there’s a legal solution to this.
