Russia has enough land they want Ukraine to be a non-NATO, neutral buffer state. It’s scary because if they can’t do that it seems they’re fine with making it a wasteland to achieve their desired buffer.

Zelensky knows he’s out as soon as the war ends. He’s going to try to prolong it indefinitely
