Remember when the Saudis hung up on him?

Seems reasonable, if you live in a country that already has the death penalty. The attempted coup president is not where I would start drawing the line and making a moral stance anyway

Everybody knows the new game sucks for at least two years, you’re streets behind

A bombing run is one thing, but invading a massive country in the arctic circle is going to be difficult
Whenever you think someone says something ludicrous, please reread their text thoroughly.

I haven’t talked about population at all I think?
There is not going to be an invasion
The title of the of the post is literally about trump ordering plans of an invasion to be made.
You’re assuming rationality by the chiefs of staff. Greenland is already under American military occupation. There is already an active base on Greenland as well as several inactive bases, which the us have an open invitation to activate at any time. Practically Greenland has already been invaded.
This doesn’t sound like it’s about practicality. They are talking about “drawing up invasion plans” IE. making some massive and impressive maneuver that Trump can shit his diaper about. Not just stepping out of the Thule airbase and saying “this is ours now”. Because that’s more or less de facto what they’ve already done and that hasn’t satisfied Trump.
De facto Greenland is and has been under American control for decades. Trump wants it to be De Jure, for some reason, and it seems like the only way he can think of doing that is by launching a large scale invasion or some sort of SMO which probably will involve naval landings or some shit like that.
Even if it doesn’t: If what trump wants is troops to march over Greenland, then that will be difficult because Greenland is large and cold and sparsely populated so it’s also sparsely urbanised. Few roads.
edit: If there is anything somewhat rational about this it might be a sort of carrot-or-stick situation where Trump threatens invasion in order to get Denmark and Greenland to agree to a purchase. But I don’t know how that would function in practicality

That makes way more sense! Did the inuit live on Greenland continuously or did they come and go too? I’ve heard, mainly chuds, some people talk about the inuit only arriving recently.

Honestly just show him a Greenland that isn’t warped by the Mercator projection and he’d probably drop it

I could imagine geography also plays into it. A bombing run is one thing, but invading a massive country in the arctic circle is going to be difficult if you don’t want your roided up grunts to freeze to death. And that’s ignoring all the geopolitics of it

The boat 500 years ago were the inuit I think that’s the time there were first traces of contact between inuit tribes and Norse settlers (who had lived there since around year 1000?)
Its really embarrassing but I’ve never been big on the history of Greenland. I know it has a lot of cases of “a group of people show up, make a living for a few centuries and then climate change makes that unfeasible so they leave again”

Countries belong to whomever landed a boat there last, as per the precedent set by Hans Ø

I’ve heard one of the elements of the defense of Greenland is burning down the unused American military bases. They’re in the middle of nowhere, it’s cold as fuck and if you expect to rely on a building that’s not there you’re fucked.
Kind of brings a smile to my face imagining some OPERATOR ™ (BOOK PENDING) showing up and finding out he’s not going to have an air-conditioned room, instead he’s going to freeze to death

Those your monkeys in that circus?

counterculture
Except for the hippies. The more I learn about them and the free love movement the more :disgost: I get.

Nice article. Anyone know anything about the people behind the current movement? Are they real or are they plants or are they angling to be consultants or some other jaded question?

Yeah it really sucks. I’ll still always have the clip of that rich asshole having an anti-jew speech ending it with “we need a final solution” only to get turned into a surprise snack

I dunno, I think there’s a bunch of eurolibs who actually believe that kind of stuff. I think there’s also people like
who really believe it. Technocracy is kind of part of neoliberalism, so that’s how those types square the circle.

I understand that. I am asking about the practicality of the operation. How do you actually invade a place thats already under your control and already under your military occupation?

I don’t know if Putin is ideologically committed to neoliberalism. I think he’s an opportunist/pragmatist at heart. I am just talking out of my ass though

Kind of attack on titan I think?
