    The Fed is not independent, has never been independent, and it shouldn’t be.

    “Oh the federal reserve has basically no accountability to the people of the country through our democratic institutions and that’s a good thing actually!” -Average Democratic Institution Enjoyer

    Obviously what Trump wants is bad but that doesn’t mean the Fed shouldn’t be controlled by the government! “Don’t let that guy drive!” is not the same as “Cars shouldn’t have steering wheels!”
