Pensioners opposing genocide are perhaps the greatest danger to civilization since trans people using the toilet and receiving healthcare. Thank goodness the UK Government is maintaining focus and keeping everyone safe.
It’s interesting to me that criminalizing PA in the UK seems to have expanded the protests from ‘those opposed to genocide’ to 'those who believe you should be allowed to oppose genocide.’
@reallykindasorta @adachika192 It’s somewhat similar to what I’ve heard about how in Germany, Neo-N**is are permitted to march, but Palestine-solidarity marches are not granted permission. So people apply for permits to march for the right to assembly
UK people - what would happen if they would have to arrest 1000s of people every time? Wouldn’t it completely overwhelm the police?
They are already letting people go instead of keeping them arrested. If this were 20 people they would all still be in jail for terrorism
i don’t doubt this, but i want to see it in writing somewhere to ally my fears that the uk is atleast somewhat slower in their embrace of fascism than the americans are.
