US will get a 15% cut of Nvidia and AMD chip sales to China under a new, unusual agreement

Nvidia and AMD agreed to share 15% of their revenues from chip sales to China with the U.S. government, President Donald Trump confirmed at a press conference on Monday.

Instead of a 15% tariff, what if we paid the government 15% of our imports? Does that sound like a win-win mr orange?
