Russia has been hostile to NATO for a long time, but would Russia be able to fight NATO if it came to that? It’s unlikely, they have not been able to defeat Ukraine for several years now thanks to the joint efforts of many countries and the Ukrainian people, imagine what would happen to Russia if they went to full-scale war against the entire NATO.

Russians like to talk a lot, but when it comes to actual action, it’s often a pathetic spectacle.

Ukraine is his proxy war, if you can’t even win the proxy it’s not looking stellar to push even harder.

Russia isn’t strong enough to take on Nato military at this point. Ukraine has been kicking their teeth in for years now. I know Russia has some crazy firepower still but they are obviously struggling with manpower and old tech.

This is a war of attrition. It is a meatgrinder on purpose. Putler wants to turn Ukraine into another Belarus. By grinding their will into submittion.

What this war in Ukraine has proven is that modern equipment is not the end all be all. Ukrainians are shooting down Shahed drones with truck mounted double machineguns. Once thought to be outdated.

And today they cant fight with NATO. This is why nazis at the kreml are throwing a hissy fit each time France suggests forces in Ukraine.

If the title is a question, the answer is most probably no.

It would depend, and by who and how much. Article 5 doesn’t compel any member state to counterattack but rather an invitation to participate in one.
