He also pretended to “work very hard” for a ceasefire. Or as AOC told us apparently.

I do. Trump is like a fascist dictator and is deporting people for simply being critical of Israel. He isn’t the friend to the common man like he makes himself out to be. At this point he’s done the same as biden and let Israel run amok with genocide.

It’s funny how people are unable to comprehend nuanced views. Just because Im critical of biden doesn’t mean I’m a Trumper.

Funny how you decided to go through my comment history to try to score a win. Will you call out biden for enabling genocide?

When libs like them cry “nuance” it usually means sympathizing with settler-colonialists, billionares and others that are far removed from any uncontrollable circumstances + are well-off in most ways.

When you use their same retort except the framing is that e.g. the genocide is bipartisan (which is literally correct), somehow that’s not “nuanced” enough and that you may be “appealing to one party”.

Yeah, it’s just shocking to see someone going out of their way to defend that particular group while shitting on the other and acting like no one can notice

Answer my question. Do you acknowledge that biden took part in and armed a genocide? Do you think that’s deplorable?

You know there’s talk of trump recognizing Palestine right?

You know at any point the Democrats could’ve done that while in office right?

Not only that, but since he’s been president the Democrats haven’t lifted a finger to frustrate any of his commands or executive orders. They could be doing ANYthing right now, yet they aren’t.

Calling it now: they will pivot right again for the 2028 election. They won’t even remotely pretend to gaf about migrants, trans rights, detention centers, ICE, abortion, or anything for that matter.

This is who you’re carrying water for, people that hate progress and find everyone that isn’t a billionaire donor a nuisance.

reagan passed himself off as a harmless and loveable old man to the public and now i wonder if biden’s doing the same thing; odd that they were contemporaries.

We really need to be more sceptical of celebrities, politicians - anybody in a position of influence. I remember thinking Obama and Biden seemed “wholesome”. Obviously, that’s an incredibly naive take, but it’s one that many of us are susceptible to as humans.

We are eager to find “gods”: people we can workship without the friction of scrutiny or criticism. It feels good - even blissful - to adore someone unconditionally. Whatever the mechanic, it would be great if we could identify it - delineate it - so we can recognise it and do the slightly tougher job of restraining our adoration of people in power.

We can still see them as humans and treat them with basic decency, but as long as masses of us fall under the spell of adoration we will continue to live in hell, or visit it on our neighbours.
