Wind and solar companies were already bracing for Congress to end federal subsidies. But the Senate bill goes even further and penalizes those industries.

If you want this to change, it means calling your rep and senators — especially if they’re Republicans.

    What fresh hell is this?

You have been blocked from The New York Times because we suspect that you’re a robot.

Didn’t even give me a CAPTCHA or anything, and I’m the only one who uses this IP address.

Maybe they’ve been spying on me and are punishing me for pointing out their copaganda, apartheid/genocide apologia, and other disinformation? 🙄

Are you sure? You are assigned an IP by your internet provider and they generally don’t change too often, but they do from time to time. Occasionally, when you reboot your modem your IP address can change. It’s possible that you had a power outage or something and when your internet came back up you were assigned an IP that had been previously used by a bot and flagged as such. You may want to check with your provider about resetting your IP address.

I’ve been getting things like this myself more and more these days, from around the internet. Not a lot, just more.

It’s not the NYT blocking you directly. They use a third party tool for detecting bots. It’s possible your IP address isn’t just used by you, but it’s also possible your device has a set of fingerprints that is setting off detections. Without knowing your IP address I can’t tell you more.
